Everyone has hazardous materials in their household or
garage. Things like gasoline, paints, aerosol cans, etc... There are steps you can take to
minimize the fire hazards associated with such materials. |

Never
store gasoline inside your home. |
|
|
|
Store
paints, thinners and other flammables in their original containers, away from heat,
sparks, or flames. Keep oily rags in a closed glass or metal container. |
|
|
|
Aerosols are highly flammable. When using hair spray or other aerosols, make sure you are
not near a heat source or open flame. |
|
|
|
Never
dispose of aerosol cans in trash that is to be burned. They can explode with great force. |
|
|
|
Keep
your attic free of combustibles, such as old newspapers or magazines. |
