	SMOKING HAZARDS
	Careless smoking is the number one cause of home fire fatalities.

	If you smoke, use a large, heavy ashtray, and don't let it become so full that hot ashes overflow. Before emptying an ashtray, make sure that it's contents are cool. Even so, check the trash to see that nothing is burning.

	Before you go to bed after a party, check for any smoldering cigarettes under all cushions and chairs. A cigarette that falls into an upholstered chair can smolder for hours before bursting into flame.

	Never smoke in bed or anywhere else that you are likely to doze off.

	Store all matches and lighters out of the reach of small children.
